Meet the Lopez Family!

The first time I photographed this family was a Maternity photoshoot for their first child. It’s so crazy to me how fast time flies! Now they have two of the most precious girls and couldn’t look happier.

I’ve been wanting to do a photoshoot at The Seaholm District for a while now and suggested it to Rachel. She hadn’t seen the area in a while, but I guess she was feeling adventurous and agreed. I was thrilled! Rachel and her husband have lived in Austin their entire lives, but hadn’t been to this particular spot in years. So we settled on Father’s Day weekend and decided to meet early in the morning to beat the heat. Once they arrived they were pleasantly surprised at all the changes downtown but also loved the history of the old power plant. It’s such an iconic building in Austin. It was the perfect setting to blend their past with this new chapter in their lives.

We walked all around and had the best time being silly and enjoying such a beautiful morning in this awesome city.

Both parents are turning 40 this year and wanted to capture the milestone during our session. I love that they brought a cupcake and sparkling wine to celebrate!!

Look at these two! Don’t they look like they’ve been bathing in the Fountain of Youth?
