I consider newborns to be anywhere from 1-8 weeks old. Most people think newborn photos need to be taken immediately after birth, but I think the sweet spot is about 3-4 weeks after. It gives you time to get into a groove at home before I come over. I’m super flexible when it comes to scheduling, so if you deliver early or late, we can always reschedule.

First off, I don’t judge. I know you just had a baby and your life has been turned upside down. As long as there is one clean room with a big window, I can make it work.

Photographing your newborn at home can be the best option because it allows you to create a comfortable and familiar setting for both you and your baby. Being at home means you have everything you need nearby and allows you to take breaks as needed. You don’t have to worry about traveling to a studio or location. And best of all.. you don’t even have to wear shoes!

If your house is not available, for whatever reason, I do offer studio sessions at an additional cost. Airbnb’s also work well in a pinch.

Newborn Lifestyle session prices are calculated for immediate family members only. If you wish to include more family members, that’s wonderful! Just let me know the details and I’ll provide you with a custom quote.

The short answer is no.

The thing I love about newborn lifestyle photography is that it captures the new baby and all of its natural surroundings. Your baby is an extension of YOU and you are a part of their story.

If you feel self-conscious for any reason, just know that I have been doing this for many years and always photograph mamas in the most flattering way. I want you to love these images and be proud of images we create together.

Every baby is different, but I’ve never had an issue with this. If the baby is fussy, it just means it’s time to take a break and tend to their needs. I am not afraid of crying babies and your little one does not have to be a perfect doll in order to get amazing photographs.

Your images will be delivered to you in an online gallery where you can pick your favorite photos or purchase the entire gallery. Inside your gallery you’ll find a customized print store that will allow you to order tangible prints, canvases, and cards should you wish to purchase.
