Watching little ones grow is one of the best parts of what I do, and Ezra’s one-year milestone session was no exception. I first met this sweet boy when I took his newborn photos, so getting to see him again, all grown up (well, as grown up as a one-year-old can be), was such a treat!
We held Ezra’s session at a gorgeous studio in Pflugerville. This place is a dream — bright, modern, airy, and basically begging to be photographed. It’s the kind of space that makes everyone look good, but let’s be real, Ezra didn’t need any help in that department.
We kicked things off with some family photos, and can I just say, Ezra’s parents are the chillest people ever. They’re so relaxed and fun to work with, which made everything easy and breezy. The love and connection between the three of them were so natural, it practically photographed itself.
Then it was Ezra’s time to shine, and oh boy, did he deliver. With his big brown eyes and that infectious smile, he’s like a little ray of sunshine. I swear, every time he flashed that grin, my camera was practically high-fiving me. He’s such a happy little guy, and it was impossible not to smile right along with him.
And then came the grand finale: the cake smash. Ezra’s cake was picture-perfect (almost too cute to eat — almost), and watching him explore it was the highlight of the day. He wasn’t so sure about the icing at first — apparently, sticky fingers are not his thing. But once he got past the texture, he dove in like a champ and left a pretty impressive dent in that cake. It was messy, hilarious, and completely adorable.
One-year milestone sessions are such a fun way to celebrate this big milestone. It’s crazy how much they grow and change in just a year, and capturing all those little moments — the smiles, the curiosity, even the "what is this on my hands?" faces — is something I absolutely love.
